NGO and Documentary Photography in Kenya

NGO and Documentary Photography in Kenya

Documentary and NGO photography in Kenya for reports, campaigns and media: consented, dignified images of programmes and the people behind them.

Good photographs work harder than almost anything else an organisation owns. They illustrate annual reports, proposals, websites, press releases and social media for years. Afrovo Studios provides documentary photography for NGOs, foundations and companies across Kenya, on its own or alongside a film shoot.

What we photograph

  • Programme and field photography: people, places and activities.
  • Portraits of staff, partners and community members, with their consent.
  • Events: launches, conferences, field visits.
  • Stills from film shoots, so one trip produces both.

Dignified, consented images

Every identifiable person we photograph gives consent for the uses you plan, recorded in writing, and we follow your safeguarding policy for children. We caption images accurately, so your team knows who is in each photo, where and when it was taken, and what it may be used for. Read our consent, safeguarding and AI policy.

Combine photography with film

Most of our NGO film projects include a photographer, or stills taken during filming. It is usually the most cost-effective way to build a library of images.
